Poem About Rain

The skies are dull, it's a wellie wearing day
Raining outside, but I want to play
Outside in the puddles and in the sludgy mud
Flowers like the rain and the ducks think it's good.

It's raining in the garden, it's raining in the town
It's gushing down the gutters and tumbling down
Into the rivers then flowing to the sea
By the beach at Southend, where I love to be.

The fluffy white clouds have become grey and dark
Water drops cover the seesaw in the park
I wish the sun would shine now so I can play outside
Then take the train to Southend and go on all the rides.
